Why derby?: "I'm competitive so I like playing a competitive team sport. Also, I like the people."
What do you do outside of derby?: "I like to read, draw, and sleep. I also like to watch TV...I've watched every single episode of criminal minds!"
​Bio: Sugar Smax is skating her 4th season of derby and 3rd with the Groms. She started skating with the Silicon Valley Roller Girls, then transferred to the Groms to skate with the Saltwater Sassies B-team, and now skates with the Gromshells. Her blocking skills are clearly demonstrated every time she skates, making big stops and catching jammers on the lines. She can be found regularly contributing to her league's success by helping our Grommets learn the fundamentals of skating and the game.
