The Groms are excited to offer expanded roller derby options to our community with the addition of a USARS Club! USA Roller Sports (USARS) is recognized by World Skate and the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) as the National Governing Body of competitive roller sports in the United States and has a unique ruleset relative to JRDA/WFTDA. USARS gameplay features high speed action as there's no stopping, pack definition encourages forward motion, pivots become scorers without a star pass, lead scorer can alternate throughout the jam to whichever scorer is furthest ahead, and the lead scorer can't call off the jam until scoring at least one point. USARS Registration is open to experienced skaters that are 14 years of age and up. Come skate fast with us! 
Costs & How to Get Started
USARS skaters pay monthly Groms membership dues and an annual USARS membership fee. These costs enable the league to provide track time for practice and for USARS to provide roller derby secondary insurance as well as competitive gameplay opportunities. 
  • $20 dues paid to the Groms (monthly dues are due on the 1st of each month)
  • $85 fee paid to USARS (annual dues are due upon registration and cover the competitive season which spans September through August)
