Santa Cruz Derby Groms offers opportunities for all junior skaters between the ages of 7 and 17. Our league's team structure is setup as a progression from beginner through advanced. The Grommets training program is specifically tailored for beginners who are learning to skate and roller derby basics. Skaters who are ready to further progress their skating skills and begin full-contact play are drafted to a home team where they learn gameplay strategy and teamwork. Our home teams compete against each other and other teams in our region. The All-Stars, our JRDA charter team, is made up of our most advanced players who travel nationally to compete at the highest level of junior roller derby.
